Retail Technology Services is an OfCom accredited Communications Provider. We are therefore able to offer line installations (PSTN, ISDN or fixed links) and call packages. We can also take over existing lines and provide advanced reporting and billing options e.g. identification of exceptional call traffic within 24 hours instead of waiting until the end of the billing period, allowing action to be taken to stop misuse or unintentional charges from continuing unabated for weeks.
We have considerable experience in the difficulties experienced by multi-site operators when carrying out large scale rollouts of lines – lines being installed in the exchange but not at site, appointments being cancelled, lines being installed in the wrong location – on a number of occasions we have addressed these issues on our customers’ behalf by taking over the direct contact with BT and with the outlets to co-ordinate the installations. With Communications Provider status we have direct access to BT Openreach, the BT engineering resources who actually schedule and carry out these installations.
We are also able to provide lines and broadband connections at the same time, reducing the lead time for new services. Broadband lines can be provided with outgoing calls barred (OCB) if required so that the line is solely for broadband use, or limited to specified types of calls.
