RTS is a BT approved Service Provider, allowing us to offer a Private DSL service where sites are not connected to the Internet at all – the connections are routed directly into our own Data Centres. These can then be linked onwards to customer head offices over a single VPN connection (suitable for small numbers or for trials) or by adding fixed links between us – we can provide both point to point and MPLS connections.
We also proactively monitor and manage faults on these lines for our customers, identifying dropped connections within 5 minutes and contacting the site if required for fault diagnosis – potentially before they are even aware of the failure.
RTS was selected in 2008 as one of only 10 Service Providers in the UK to participate in the trial of high speed broadband services, offering speeds of up to 24Mbps. This allowed us to offer this service as soon as individual exchanges were ADSL2+ enabled and we now have a number of customers enjoying the higher speeds and faster turnaround times this provides.
